Frequently asked questions

Return-to-sport physiotherapy puts you in your sport setting. Lace up your cleats or get out your basketball, this stage of rehabilitation is all about gradual exposure to sport specific movements. It focuses on restoring sport-specific strength, game situations, and helps re build fitness so athletes can safely and confidently return to competition.

Ask your current Physiotherapist if you are ready for on-field rehab. In addition to natural timelines of a safe return to running - assessing strength, range of motion and function are critical elements that might be considered in the decision making process. On-field rehab typically begins once you’ve regained some level of limb symmetry, mobility, and movement control. It's the critical bridge between clinic-based therapy and full return to competition.

We specialize in lower limb injuries like ACL tears, meniscus injuries, ankle sprains, and muscle tears (hamstring, quad, adductor) . We also work with overuse injuries and chronic conditions that limit sport performance.

Yes. Collaborating with your current Physiotherapist and Coach are key in a safe return. We value collaboration and regularly communicate with your broader care team to ensure a coordinated and integrated return-to-play plan.

Sessions mimic the demands of your sport, including change of direction, sprint mechanics, plyometrics, and reactive decision-making. We add in defenders, contact and game situations where appropriate. Every progression is evidence-based and tailored to your sport and position. For example, if you are a winger in soccer - part of your rehabilitation will include deceleration mechanics before crossing the ball.
