What we collect

Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.

What you tell us when you ask for an appointment: for example, where you have pain, how long it has been going on, whether it's from a car accident or a work injury, and any notes you add.

Health and treatment information: when you become a patient, your practitioner keeps clinical records about your assessment and treatment.

Billing and insurance details: such as your extended health plan, ICBC claim or WorkSafeBC claim information, when you ask us to bill them directly.

Website and ad information: our website and online ads may use cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only:

With your Stellar practitioners and clinic staff who need it to care for you

With service providers that help us run the clinic, such as our online booking and clinical records system, our phone, text message and email system, and our website host. They may only use your information to provide their service to us, and must keep it confidential.

When the law requires it
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, Stellar Physiotherapy and Rehab may text you about your inquiry, booking and confirming appointments, appointment reminders and follow-ups about your care.

We will not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties. The only exception is the service providers that deliver our messages for us, and they may not use your information for any other purpose.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us.
How we protect and keep your information
We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law and our professional regulatory college require.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to calls, texts or emails at any time. Withdrawing consent may limit how we can help you, and we'll explain if it does.
